Boomtown Casino’s Kick Off Party 7:00PM- 11:00PM: This event kicks off Pride weekend with a reception style event. Live performances by DJ Robbie Martin, Beth Trepagnier, Benjamin Nixx, Misti Ates, Josh Carcabasis, and Hannah. Enjoy a cash Bar and free food while hanging out with Celebrity Grand Marshals, Jaymes and James from Season 21 of The Amazing Race. $20 Admission ($10 to New Orleans Pride, $10 to a Cancer Charity as part of Pride Gives Back). Admission also includes $20 free play bucks donated by Boomtown Casino.

Chevrons Family Day 1:00-5:00PM: Pride is back in Washington Square Park with a New Orleans Food Truck Festival, over 30 Vendors, Games for the Kids, relationship blessings and more. Bring your blanket and enjoy a Family Day Picnic. Entertainment by: Singing Sensation, Hannah and 5 Finger Discount. Emcee'd by Jaymes & James! Free Admission **NO ICE CHESTS ALLOWED IN PARK
Be sure to bring the kids to this Family Event....Jaymes and James will be playing games (sack races, relays, limbo and more)with the kids beginning at 3pm

Dow Pride Parade (also sponsored by Wrens Auto and Boom Boom's Bar)6:00PM: The Pride Parade begins at Washington Square Park and winds through the French Quarter before ending on Bourbon @ Esplanade. Remembering the Upstairs Lounge 6:30-7:30PM: Join City Leaders, witnesses, and family/friends of the victims as we remember The Upstairs Lounge (141 Chartres Street). Live performances by Derrick Stevens and Brian Nelson
Upstairs the Musical 8:00PM: Café Istanbul. UPSTAIRS is a new dramatic musical about the deadliest crime against gays in U.S. History, the 1973 Arson fire at the Up Stairs Lounge in New Orleans, Louisiana, a tragedy that languishes in obscurity, its victims seldom remembered, its perpetrator unknown. UPSTAIRS will have its World Premiere in New Orleans June 20-24, 2013, coinciding with the New Orleans Pride Celebration, with a special performance on Monday, June 24, the 40th Anniversary of the Up Stairs Lounge Fire. Proceeds from the special performance will benefit the NOLA LGBTQ Community and New Orleans Pride.
