"Be A New Orleanian: A Swearing In Ceremony" presented by Dirty Coast, is Jim Fitzmorris' wild, comic ride through what it takes to call yourself a citizen of The Crescent City. A playwright and performer, Jim Fitzmorris is a native New Orleanian who can trace his family's roots in the city back to 1847. He has spent the better part of the last decade writing about the city he calls home taking on politics (With Malice Towards All), the school system (Urban Education Smackdown), post-Katrina recovery (From A Long Way Off), and most recently the changing nature of the newspaper business (A Truckload of Ink).
