ABOUT BIG CLASS/ THE NEW YOUTH WRITING CENTER:
A Dark and Stormy Night will benefit Big Class’s build-out of our Youth Writing Center, a new space of creative possibility for New Orleans’ youth, educators, and families opening in Summer 2016. Our Youth Writing Center will enable Big Class to add several new programs, allowing us to serve over 3500 students annually through our innovative approach to literacy.
The Youth Writing Center will also feature a creative storefront, The New Orleans Haunting Supply Co., stocked with soul soup, boo in a can, human disguises, t-shirts, books, and other goods and services for the ghostly denizens of the Crescent City. The storefront will also raise funds for Big Class, inspire creativity in our students, and connect our programs to the community.
