Abraham Lincoln’s Big, Gay Dance Party centers around the trial of an elementary school teacher in Menard County, Illinois after she rewrites the school’s Christmas pageant to feature American presidents and insinuates that Lincoln was gay. Some folks are calling it the trial of the century, up in arms about the identity of a man dead 150 years. The funny thing about being, dead, though, is that eventually nobody knows what you were like when you were alive. So, was he a liberator? A tyrant? An ambitious man? A conservative? A liberal? Was he gay? One thing is certain, though...
He was totally gay.
The evening's festivities will unfold in true democratic fashion as the audience decides what order to view each of the three acts, offering three very different sides of the trial of Harmony Green.
