It's finally here! I know that we have been talking about it for a year now, but all of the stars are finally in alignment and the contestants are primed. The New Orleans Drag Workshop has birthed 40 performers over 4 Cycles onto the New Orleans Drag Scene. It's time for them to put their talent and creativity where there mouths used to be. Each Dragling will have 10 minutes to presents whatever kind of performance art they can come up with in their sick and simply gorgeous little minds. This art is gonna cover the stage at One Eyed Jacks for One Night Only!!!!! If that isn't enough in itself, they will also be required to give an oral presentation on subjects that matter to THEM. Now get your mind out of the gutter. These orals will be presented in their finest formal wear. Forget everything you thought you knew about Drag Pageants 'till now. We are NOT searching for perfection or another missed congeniality. We are looking for the most ORIGINAL AND ENTERTAINING Drag Superstar in New Orleans. Will there be a cash prize? YES. Will there be runners up? YES. Will feelings get hurt? PROBABLY. Will there be a crown? YOU KNOW IT!!! The winner will be sporting a pocket full of cash courtesy of Vinsantos and Mister Gregory's cafe and a custom crown courtesy of our sponsor FiFI Mahoney's. There are going to be a very limited amount of reserved seats for this event and a lot of general admission tickets. If you have been to any of the four Draguations, you know that this event will probably sell out. Don't snooze. Official lineup and contestants and celebrity judges will be announced on Sept 1st. But I'm pretty sure based on the invites that you'll be getting, you can figure out who they are..
