Courtesy of the Arts Council New Orleans and timed with the celebration of Dureau's life and work, the Ogden Museum of Southern Art is honored unveil the newly-conserved mural, The Parade Paused. This mythic depiction of a Mardi Gras parade is part of the City of New Orleans' Percent for Art Collection was commissioned for the wall of Gallier Hall in 1990, where it served as backdrop to city functions for twenty-five years, becoming an iconic part of the visual landscape of New Orleans.
