Closing Reception for "Gentle Breeze: Beware the Hour it Uproots Trees"

Please join us for an evening of art and activism with a very special closing reception for local artist Langston Allston's installation "Gentle Breeze: Beware the Hour it Uproots Trees!” Also featuring music by the delightful CoolNasty: https://www.facebook.com/coolnastytheband/?hc_ref=SEARCH&fref=nf Allston's piece featuring two monumental painted panels, "Gentle Breeze: Beware the Hour it Uproots Trees," was created in response to the recent tragic events in Baton Rouge, and to the ongoing movements for justice nationwide. Painted from the artist's own experiences of protesting in Baton Rouge and Ferguson, the installation brings the conversation that echoes through the streets into the gallery for a moment of reflection.
