WOW!

I was lucky enough to spend a week in one of the 2 level suites one Halloween season. PERFECT LOCATION! Amazingly historic location, home of the quadroon ball. The story of which will make your head spin! Great pool, friendly staff. Smack dab in gay bar land or to eat yourself sick in many fine restaurants. Even if you don't stay there, visit this gem.

Worth Every Dollar

You cannot beat this location, and the Jazz Ba here is truly authentic and a great relaxer on Bourbon Street just a block from Oz

Beautiful hotel with a rich history and perfect location

This hotel has a stunning lobby with crystal chandeliers and marble columns. It has an ideal location for sightseeing and even better it's directly across the street from the 2 main gay bars in New Orleans the Bourbon Pub and OZ. In fact the hotel has its own Gay bar on site called Napoleons itch. I highly recommend the two-story loft suite with balcony. The hotel is on the expensive side but definitely well worth the money

Best Thing Is the Location

My partner and I have stayed here for the past two SDs. The first year the room was on the small side, but the second year it was very spacious. Size of rooms vary greatly. The best part is the location - you can't beat it for convenience. The rooms are well furnished and clean and I recommend it. But make no mistahe - this hotel may be "gay friendly" but only to a certain extent. At night and assistant manager wanders the halls to make sure nothing is going on, and the poll is loked up tight at night and bright spotlights are turned on to make sure no one sneaks in somehow. Gave me the feeling od being on lockdown at night. Of course with so much to do we weren't in the room much so it was a minor irritant at best. Staff is very friendly as I would expect as a guest at any hotel.

Perfectly in the center!

Loved this place, really friendly, so close to the Bourbon Pub and 0z, I felt really safe stumbling home at 6am! It was an incredible experience, and the hotel is a beautiful, old historic property - and get this...it used to be a convent! I felt right at home! The restaurant was good, with dinner of local fare.
