The Gumbo Shop

I've eaten at the Gumbo Shop several times over the years. It's always been a personal favorite. My first time there, we were able to sit in the courtyard, which just enhanced the experience. One of the best things we did was to each order something different and pass it around for all to taste. Everything was so wonderfu. I can't wait to return.

IF YOU WANT TO ENJOY THE REAL FLAVOR OF NEW ORLEANS YOU SHOULD TRY THIS SPOT. THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT AND THE SERVICE IS GREAT. MEDIUM SIZED DINING ROOM AND FAIR SIZED COURTYARD WITH TABLES ADJOINING. MENU IS NOT OVERLY CROWDED, THREE OR FOUR TYPES OF GUMBO OFFERED, ALL ARE GREAT, OTHER CHOICES ARE BLACKEND FISH OR CHICKEN.VERY REASONABLY PRICED, ESPECIALLY FOR A EATERY IN THE "QUARTER"
