Derogatory slurs by staff

I will never set foot in Bourbon Pub again, and will do everything in my power to continually spread the word about how my group was treated in this establishment. I have been coming here multiple times a year for over a decade. This trip, for Easter, we brought a straight couple with us who hadn't been here before. She got up to use the restroom, and someone, later found out to be an "off duty staff member" decided to jump up and start dancing on her seat. When our friend returned, the "staff member" wouldn't give her the seat back, and when we asked what's up, she and her boyfriend were told to leave the bar by security with no explanation. On top of that, a woman who identified herself as the owner, who was herself inebriated beyond belief, started calling us several derogatory slurs. At a gay bar, no less. So much for supporting your customers and your community.

I've had so many fun nights at this bar. Usually attracts a younger / clean cut crowd. Downstairs is great for meeting new people and ogling the hot bartenders and gogos. Upstairs has a fun but sometimes too crowded dance floor. My favorite is hanging out on the upstairs balcony hearing the dance music waft out of the doors on a hot night. Oz across the street is probably better for dancing, but I've always made new friends here. It just seems the crowd is more there to meet, chat and well, whatever.

Best gay bar in New Orleans

This is by far my favorite bar in New Orleans and one of the main reasons I keep going back time and time again to this city! Downstairs has a friendly neighborhood bar feel with large televisions that play everything from music videos to clips from popular movies and TV shows. Upstairs has a large balcony overlooking Bourbon Street with a dance floor, stage and beautiful VIP area. The bartenders and go-go dancers are incredibly beautiful and sexy. Drinks are strong and reasonably priced (try the cherry bomb)
