Over rated

We had to try this placeafter hearing all tthe hype. I must say that it was ok at best. Definately not worth the time you wait to get in.

Don't forget Acme at the Airport as you leave

We always get to the airport early when we are leaving New Orleans so we can have a dozen oysters at the Acme Oyster cafe at Louis Armstrong Airport. They also serve Red Beans & Rice and other seafood specialties. It's a wonderful parting interlude-- perfect way to extend your New Orleans visit to the last moment :-)

Great Joint

Delicious food, cold beer, decent value, casual ambience. What could be a better combination?

Don't freak about the line to get in

ACME Oyster House is a local institution. There is always a line on the street to get in - but it moves fast. Sit at the bar and have a dozen raw oysters and a fried shrimp po-boy. We hit it a least twice on every trip.
