Follow a cast of itinerant actors through three increasingly comic stages of collapse: In the first act - plagued by missed cues, misplaced props, an irate director and an exhausted stage manager - as they run through a ramshackle dress rehearsal for a flop bedroom farce, "Nothing On"; in the second act, "Nothing On" in performance - but seen from backstage - as inter-cast romantic rivalries threaten to blow it apart; and in the third, after weeks on the road, when it has all devolved into an incomprehensible but hysterical mess. Doors slam, bodies fly, pants and prats fall, and prop plates of sardines are everywhere except where they're needed. This is a modern comedy classic.
