Orpheuscapade 2016

It's that time of the year once again, time to start thinking about and making our plans for ORPHEUSCAPADE 2016!!! Remember Mardi Gras is earlier this next year. For those who have attended before I don't have to explain it. But for the first timers , the only thing I can say is this will be a night and an experience you won't soon forget. The Krewe of Orpheus has one of the most beautiful parades in all of Carnival and they bring it all to us in the convention center. Before and after the parade are local bands as well as big name entertainers setting the stage for a night of dancing and debaucherous pleasure. The Krewe of Oprheus has not announced the entertainment line up yet. This information will be added once it is made public. We always have one of the largest groups of people at the ball. Because of this we need many tables and our tables are always in a prime spot. This year the event will be in a different hall of the convention center and tables will be arranged a bit differently. I have already spoken with Orpheus and reserved tables for us. There is no need to worry we will have great tables as we always do BUT... If we want to hold on to these tables... I need you to pay EARLY. If they don't have money for tables they will give our tables away to people who have already paid. The price this year will increase by $10.00 over the last few years. The reason for this is that catering and liquor costs have gone up.The cost will be $190.00 per person. You may pay by PayPal, a check or cash whatever works best for you. Your money will go towards... $150.00 for the ball ticket and $40.00 for food and alcohol. With the $40.00 we will provide a spread of finger foods and your alcohol(hard liquor and wine) If you are a beer drinker you will have to provide that for yourself. The reason for this is in years past most people prefer hard liquor or wine, as well as ice chests full of beer, and dealing with taxicabs in formal wear is a challenge. The convention center provides us with setups...coke, sprite, tonic, soda, cups and ice. All you have to do is get yourself all prettied up and come have a good time. On the night of the ball the convention center opens the hall to us at 7pm and we will party till they kick us out at 3am. Please remember this is a FORMAL event TUXEDOS for gentlemen and EVENING GOWNS for ladies. PayPal payment details... The email address for the PayPal account is stevenorpheus2012@yahoo.com . PayPal has made some changes to the fees they charge. PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY!!!!!! When selecting the type of payment make it PERSONAL PAYMENT. If you transfer money directly from your bank account to the PayPal account there will be no fees your amount will be $190.00. BUT if you pay using a debit card or credit card there is a fee. (2.9% of the amount 5.51 plus .30 cents transaction fee for a total of $5.81) So if you pay with your debit card or credit card make sure that you pay the fee. If I receive a payment from you for less than $190.00 I will refund it to you so that you can re do it. I will not cover your fees. In this email please provide me with your name as well as others if you are paying for more than yourself along with your preferred alcohoI. I realize the year on those is 2012, that’s the year I began organizing our group. I know this is the beginning of the busy time of the year. But remember Mardi Gras is February 9,2016. There won't be much time after the holiday season and Mardi Gras will be in full swing. You will need to be paid by the end of December/beginning of January... plan accordingly. The sooner you take care of this the sooner I will be able to confirm our tables with Orpheus. Our friends at Orpheus always set us up with a premium spot so let’s fill those tables.
