National Underwear Day Parade NOLA

August 5th is National Underwear Day and we're celebrating by throwing a parade... in our underwear! The National Underwear Day Parade NOLA is hosted by conceptual artist Ryan S Ballard, Space Commander of the Krewe of Chewbacchus, and the brilliant and talented Xena Zeit-Geist of the Society of Sin, a true professional at doing amazing things in her underwear. We are excited to crown Chris Leonard, the Executive Director of New Orleans Pride, and burlesque producer and performer Trixie Minx as the King & Queen of the inaugural Underwear Day Parade NOLA! It doesn’t matter if you are a man, woman, reptilian shape-shifter or moldy Sumerian god. YOU are invited to show up in your freshest skivvies and march in a joyous celebration of underwear! We are here to promote body positivity, liberation from the tyranny of outer garments, and... set the new Guinness World Record for the "Largest Gathering of People Wearing Only Underpants/Knickers"! Be a part of something bigger than yourself! Fresh, clean underwear are a critical need for the homeless, so we are setting a goal of collecting 1,000 items of underwear to donate to the New Orleans Mission. Bring NEW underwear, panties and bras with you to the lineup of the Underwear Day Parade at Castillo Blanco and help us make the world just a tiny little bit better... in our underwear! The National Underwear Day Parade NOLA is 100% absolutely FREE to march in. We will start in the backyard of Castillo Blanco Art Studios and set the World Record and then roll through the Bywater ending back at Castillo Blanco for the "Free Ball"! Entry to the Ball is also FREE! Its a free ball. Free. Ball. Free Ball. Gather at 6pm and be counted for the Guinness World Record. Roll at 7pm. The “Free Ball” at Castillo Blanco follows and features performances by the Society of Sin and Dohm Collective.
