Gay-owned and -operated B&B
This 1890s Eastlake style bed and breakfast boasts much of the original architecture still intact. Almost everything in the house is original, including the 8 (not working, formerly coal-burning) fireplaces, the hardwood floors, the 12 foot ceilings (a few of which have original plaster medallions and crown moulding), the louvered shutters, as well as the doors (including two sets of pocket doors) and windows.

Carl (Owner) communicates great prior to arrival to ensure there are no issues with travel/directions. He is a gracious host, providing great info to the city. The rooms have the traditional "New Orleans" charm, and are clean and spacious (I was in the "Blue Room"). The location is ideal - about a 20 minute walk down to the French Quarter. I felt safe walking both day and night. I will definitely stay again when returning to New Orleans.

      Very nice stay
I stayed here during a conference and used a cycle from the proprietor to get to and from the convention centre. Room was very pleasant, breakfast good and the guests were all a genuine and pleasant bunch. The hot tub outside wasn't used much due to bad weather but the B=B is sited close to plenty of gay venues and while taxi drivers will tell you it's a dangerous area (ie. get a taxi every time) I had no trouble at all. Locals were very friendly. Will go back tomorrow if I could. Thank you Carl for a nice stay
